During the business of this holiday season, take the time to take care of yourself. Along with the holiday cheer comes crazy schedules, childrens' concerts, office parties, stress, over-eating, lack of sleep, and things that lie outside of our control.
It can be difficult to stay true to our lifestyle choices, but it's possible to maintain a steady fitness regime and make good food choices. Just be creative. Timing is everything, if you can’t hit the gym or the yoga studio, take twenty minutes out of your day and use it to move. There are great online options if you're not able to get to your regular trainer or attend your favourite class. You can spare twenty minutes! With food, don’t deprive yourself of special traditional treats, just pace yourself. Just remember how much better you feel when your body is moving and when you are eating food that fuels your body, instead of just filling your body.
While we ask that you take time to take care of yourself, maybe also invest some time in taking care of those who may not be as fortunate. Our contributions to their lives may very well put our own in perspective.
Feel free to be inspired to give over the holiday to those who need it most! |
