After the summer stall, we really do return to routine as kids go back to school and work schedules move back to their regular pace. As you strive to get back to your fitness regimen, goal setting is a wonderful way to begin the season.

A goal helps you focus on something more than just weight loss. It gives you a road map to where you would like to be and becomes that silent motivator keeping you on track! Ask yourself, “what do I want to improve or achieve this year?

Why set a goal?
*Goals make you accountable
*Goals help you focus
*Goals provide direction
*Goals when accomplished give give you a sense of pride *Goals are stepping stones to
other goals
*Goals always motivate

So as we get back into routine, use this time to reboot and set new, achievable goals. See your success rate improve!


 
 

 


As TAB sets its own goals going forward, Swansea School of Dance has opened their doors to us this fall. They're located at 356 Windermere Av, Toronto, ON (Please use the side entrance).

We are offering our Empowerment and Energizer series, as well as our AbRehab series and Tab Mojo. See below.

One 5-week workshop is $100 plus HST
Three 5-week workshops for $275 plus HST for 3

Over the Summer TAB Fitness had opportunities to teach at various dance schools and reconnect with our first love—DANCE!

We hosted a dance workshop for children called Summa Slam and it was an absolute blast!

Rhonda also was an adjudicator for the International Youth Dance Festival at Nathan Phillip’s Square and conducted conditioning workshops for Sean Boutillier Academy's Ballet Intensive and Steps Performing Arts Centre for their competitive students.

As well, she attended the Dance Teachers' Expo, and the CanFitPro conference again. Busy summer!

We are happy to announce the addition of our strength training program for dancers and other young athletes as we recognize the need for these programs for injury prevention.

Private and semi-private sessions are now available to assist these athletes.

No Bake Cherry Almond Energy Bars
The perfect combination of complex carbs, protein and healthy fat
to keep you going all day while you take your fitness outdoors.
These bars are gluten and dairy free with no white sugar.

  INGREDIENTS
2 cups quick cooking gluten free oats
1 cup unsweetened almond butter
1/4 cup dried cherries or dried cranberries
1/2 cup mixture of pumpkin seeds, walnut pieces, sliced almonds and sunflower seeds
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/3 cup raw unpasteurized honey
1/2 tsp. each cinnamon and sea salt
 
DIRECTIONS
Combine oats, almond butter, dried fruits, nuts and seeds, vanilla extract, honey, cinnamon and sea salt in a bowl. Add more honey if needed. Line an 8 x 8 pan with parchment paper and press oat mixture into pan. Put in freezer for 60 minutes. Cut into small squares or rectangles. Wrap and store in the fridge until needed.
